There are several different levels of ASQ membership: Student, Regular Member, Senior Member, Fellow, Honorary Member, and Sustaining Member. The most common membership statuses are Regular Member, Senior Member and Fellow. The majority of ASQ members join as a Regular Member and then upgrade to Senior Member. The requirements to be a Senior Member are as follows:
In addition, you must qualify in one of the following ways:
As a Senior Member, you are charged slightly higher annual dues, but in addition to Regular Member benefits, you will receive: the opportunity to serve in leadership roles, a copy of the ASQC/Gallup Survey Summary, a Senior Member pin, your choice of one magazine or journal in addition to Quality Progress, a copy of ASQC's Annual Report, a special Senior certificate, Senior designation on your name badge at AQQ and other conferences or courses, and recognition in On Q shortly after your advancement. To apply for Senior Membership status, complete a Senior Member application, you can locate the application at http://www.asq.org. Only a small percentage of the Southeast Texas Section 1420 members currently hold the Senior Member status. A far greater percentage of the membership is eligible for this honorable distinction, but have simply not completed the application. As one of the top Sections in the nation, can we allow this to continue? Don't delay. Your membership status will change immediately, but your dues won't increase until your next renewal.
